Im sure a variant could work on a E/R, but I think you had the right idea there.
It's possible, but the armor is worse and you won't have expertise at your diposal. Also you won't be able to use the runes.

Yeah, I feel your pain. As I said in another EoE thread, I think A-net could have nerfed this in a way that it didn't make the skill useless to all and come at the price of those who use it in PvE but alas, EoE is officially pwned. *lays a flower on it's grave and sheds a single tear*

I don't think it's dead. I'm sure there has to be a way around it.

Its not.. They said on the Site that divine boon was temp changed during the nightfall weekend.. But this is just a Nerf.. And i dont think there is a way around it.. the now "old" EoE grawl bomber dident harm the Necro Grawls at all.. Now you need to run around and hurt em all to make em go down ... Witch imo seems to make a Char like a VwK Rit or 55 SoJ monk better to kill the grawls..

There might be a work around using SoJ combined with brambles, but due to work i haven't been able to test this (still need to cap SoJ on my ranger).

Can someone else test this please, does SoJ trigger even when the attack is blocked or just when they hit you? If so then everytime the grawl attack they get knocked down and start bleeding (more than enough to get them below 90%), only problem i see with this is that there is no mark of pain to speed it up, and can't use oath shot to recharge WD. but its an idea.

NO!!! i would never consider doing a 55 ranger. i was just trying to think of a way to inflict damage on the crones at the same time as the warriors. SoJ just seemed like the best solution when combined with brambles.

well if your going into SoJ im pretty sure a 55 Monk with EoE is better =x.. And SoJ Triggers when the attack Hits you, if you block the attack the enemys wont get dmged or KDed..

And Ty winkgood
